I have a new work featured in the artists and traders group show that opens Friday 10th April 6pm -10pm at the Fishmarket Gallery in Northampton. Make It! Features the work of the fifteen resident artists and designer-makers and fills the main gallery space of the Fishmarket with a  range of work including painting, contemporary textiles, sculpture and film. The opening night will feature local musicians and DJ’s.

“DeKooning once stated that ‘flesh was the reason oil paint was invented,’ I have taken this idea one stage further through exaggerating the inherent characteristics of the pigment contrasted with the shimmering light of electronic screens, creating new hybrid forms.  Essentially I imagine these paintings as being created by Van Gogh if he was somehow resurrected in the form of a cyborg.
